Description
From our family collection, this original Dargie Delight Luke guitar from 2007 is being offered as a highly collectible piece!
The piezo-equipped Luke and JP guitars are the most sought after of all the original Dargie Delights, and are almost never publicly seen for sale. Of the total 277 Dargie Delight guitars and basses made in the limited run, there were only 5 Luke guitars manufactured with the piezo bridge. This particular Luke was also manufactured with the optional matching/painted headstock.
While this guitar has been played several times over the years, it does not show any significant signs of play wear. There is virtually no fret wear, no noticeable dings, chips, scratches, etc – it is beautiful! The original static cling decals is still on the serial plate! There may be minor “pinky swirls” from playing, but there is no significant hazing. The tuning machine screws and the chrome toggle switches show some tarnish. The knobs operate smoothly with no crackling during rotation, and the piezo saddles operate properly on both guitars. The Luke does have a very small mark in the forearm contour area that is difficult to photograph. The original hard-shell case exhibits marks from storage and being transported, but properly latches.
We are the original retailer for this guitar – please see the original factory build tickets shown in photos.
This Dargie Delight Luke also comes with a custom-made deluxe embroidered leather guitar strap that we originally included as case candy for customers who ordered Dargies through us. The custom strap and the rear tremolo cavity cover were both signed by Steve Lukather.
